Women's Health Initiatives/Infant Mortality
Memphis leads the nation in infant deaths with 12.7 deaths per every 1000 births, or 1.9 times the national average. In Shelby County, African American babies die at three times the nationwide infant mortality rate. Within the county, the 38108 and 38127 zip codes.
Please join us as we help Christ Community address the pressing Infant Mortality crisis in our community. Sisters-In-Motion members are supporting this effort through financial contributions, giving time and effort, securing sponsorships, and, of course, working the race on race day: September 27, 2014.
Sign up for the race today and help in the fight for Women's Health Initiatives/ Infant Mortality to save our babies!
Your participation and sponsorship could help light the candles on one more birthday cake this year.
All proceeds from the race will benefit the Christ Community Health Services (CCHS) Women's Health Initiatives/Infant Mortality.
